LOS POTROS MALAMBO
Malambo is a unique type of flamenco performed exclusively by men. Los Potros Malambo collective is the most famous dance group in Argentina.
In 1999, brothers Javier and Isaac Gardella, bringing together the "best of the best" dancers from Argentina, founded a dance company called LOS POTROS MALAMBO as a family project, with the idea of bringing their choreographic creations to life.
They worked hard to find their way, always in search of their own style. Performing on different stages, they formed the final project and became the most significant Malambo and folklore company in the country. This group of wonderful dancers has a distinctive style in which strength and expressiveness, as well as technique and choreographic richness are wonderfully combined in the show programs of the Gardella brothers.
The Gardella brothers manage to show incredible things in dance, drawing inspiration from folklore, highlighting the basis of flamenco from a complex array of centuries—old heritage, its DNA - a tangle of sounds, rhythms, feelings, energy, expression and power, accompanied by live musicians, give an amazing visual effect.
For more than 20 years of its existence, the band has won numerous awards at many major national folklore and dance festivals.
"Los Potros Malambo" toured in many European countries: Italy, Germany, France, Chile, made a splash in China and the USA, visited Russia and Belarus several times.
In 2012, Los Potros Malambo was invited to participate in the American reality show Q' Viva: The Chosen, which brought together the best dancers, musicians, and acrobats from Latin America to make the "greatest Latin show" with them. In this reality show, the band “Los Potros Malambo" worked with Jennifer Lopez.
