"BFB" tells a story written by Prosper Merime, delving into the love affair between gypsy Carmen and bullfighter Escamillo. Here, too, flamenco language is the best means of artistic expression for expressing emotions and an ideal driving force for conveying the passion of the main characters.

Merime's characters, Bizet's music and BFB's flamenco merge into a show open to the public today. With Carmen's help, the Flamenco Ballet of Barcelona wants to pay tribute to Prosper Merima and his relationship with Spain and, in particular, with Barcelona. He knew the city, spoke Catalan and even the language of the Kalo gypsies.
