Fire of Anatolia
“Fire of Anatolia” is a unique dance project that combines hundreds of folk dances and music from different regions of Anatolia.
Created in 1999 by Mustafa Erdogan, the collective has become a symbol of cultural exchange between East and West, reflecting the ancient mythology and history of this region.
The project began with the selection of 90 talented dancers from 750 candidates who rehearsed for 8-16 hours every day. Under the guidance of nutritionists, cosmetologists, fitness and massage specialists, the dancers received not only physical, but also theoretical training, studying Anatolian rhythms.
After a year and a half of intensive training, "Fire of Anatolia" debuted on the world stage and has since conquered the scenes of such prestigious venues as Madison Square Garden in New York, the Great Hall of the People in China, as well as in front of the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt.
With performances at more than 100 global venues and over 40 million viewers, Fire of Anatolia has established itself as one of the best dance groups in the world. The band is a synthesis of folk dances, ballet and modern trends, conveying a message of peace and cultural unity.
The concept of a large dance group performing Anatolian dances combined with modern dance and ballet was a long-time dream of Mustafa Erdogan.
Every year from May to November, "Fire of Anatolia" performs in its own amphitheater Aspendos Arena in Antalya, presenting the cultural heritage of Anatolia to thousands of tourists in Turkey.
The band gave its first performance in 2001 and began a worldwide tour a year later under the name Fires of Anatolia. The Turkish ensemble surpassed all existing groups in terms of the number of participants.
250 people who are part of the dance troupe of the collective can perform grandiose performances simultaneously in three parts of the world. At the same time, the quality of the performance will not be affected in any way. All rooms will be just as bright and emotional. Even the most discerning viewer will not single out the obvious stars in a cohesive dance show.
According to Mustafa Erdogan, "Fire of Anatolia" is currently one of the three largest dance groups in the world. The Turkish ensemble has conquered seventy-five countries of the world in a short ten years.
In 2002, he made his first world tour, which featured slightly less than three thousand performances. Today, about fifteen million viewers joined the work of the Turkish team.
The ensemble "Fire of Anatolia" even thawed the political officialdom at the NATO conference in 2006. The dancers performed in front of fifty presidents. Lights of Anatolia has conquered the most famous venues in the world — performing at the Eurovision Song Contest, the opening of Formula 1, and Madison Square Garden. The list of achievements of the ensemble is long.
The concept of the Lights of Anatolia dance group (“Fire of Anatolia") will give an atmosphere of lightness and celebration during the show “Fire of Anatolia". This program is one of the most popular programs in the world. As titles, the dancers twice received confirmation of their talent, listed in the Guinness Book of Records.
The first was the record for the fastest execution of a Step in one minute, more than 240 times.
The second is the largest number of guests at the performance, more than 400,000 people.
